3 weeks post op breast augmentation, experience popping? Is this normal?

I am 3 weeks past my BA I was drying off after showering and felt a light pop on the inside of my left breast no pain just an odd feeling. Now whenever I stand up my left breast feels very heavy compared to my right. Is this normal? I go back for a follow up in 2 weeks.

Dear jewett45,
in early postoperative period it is normal to hear or feel some sounds. However, without a proper assessment it would be difficult to determine what is wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment. Only after thorough examination you can get proper recommendations and advice.

There are many women who report small pops or bubble type sounds and sensations for several weeks after a breast augmentation.  This may be due to a small amount of fluid and/or bubbles within the pocket.  It is best to check with your surgeon for further evaluation since you describe a pop, which seems different.  Continue to monitor for any other changes  such as volume changes, bruising, etc. as well.
