New pain in breasts 7 months post op

Question

these past two weeks my breasts feel slightly achy, slightly tight, warm feelings all around, towards the lower part of my boobs i'll have occasional random sharp shooting pains. i've been feeling them, they are as squishy as can be and no change in look. i don't wear any kind of support this far out, i got a pretty moderate size, 275cc so they are fine without a bra, i'm wondering if the pain is from me never wearing a bra? or if it's something more serious and i should go see my doctor?

I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice.

If you were my patient, I would want to know about these new symptoms and would ask you to come to the office for a detailed examination.  More than likely, the pain is due to a benign process like perichondritis (inflammation of the covering of the ribs or muscle irritation).  But, it is important to rule out other causes.

Since this pain is new I encourage you to visit your surgeon for an evaluation.  Though some minor discomfort could be related to many things such as hormonal changes, activity level, etc it is best to be assessed to rule out any concerns.

Thank you for your question. It is not unusual to have discomfort many months after breast augmentation. Also supportive garments in the beginning of postoperative period helps with the recovery. However, It is a good idea to follow with your surgeon.

The discomfort may be from your own breast tissue or from a capsule. I would suggest going back to your surgeon and being examined.
