Hi;Sorry to hear about your pain. If the pain is around the gum, it could be from the pressure of the new crown and it should have subsided by now. If the pain is from the implant, and it is still there you should have it looked at immediately to make sure the implant is stable and has integrated with the bone.Best,Dr. Maddahi
Jan, sorry you are having pain with your implant. Not entirely sure of what you had done. I am assuming a crown was fitted to your implant. You should not have had pain on the implant during tightening of the crown on the implant. You may have had pain on the gums depending on the position of the gums in relation to the implant position. Your question doesn't tell me enough information to better answer. If the pain is coming from the implant then the bone may not have entirely healed yet. Usually a healthy implant will heal in 3-6 months. Good luck.
I suggest that you get an ct scan done, so that doctor and you can see if the implant is integrated with the bone. If it is and the pain subsided that means it is the pressure around the gums from the new crown.

The two teeth that are long at the gumline are pontics(replacements for missing teeth when a bridge is used). Since you have had major bone loss and ginival recession in the area, the pontic teeth were built longer to fill in the missing space. There are several...
Dental implant is possible at any age and any time after extraction. but long time after extraction without restoration results in bone loss . for implant only thing matters is bone quantity. so in such case additional bone augmentation surgery might required.
