I have a previously root canaled tooth (no crown yet) that has become abcessed and was told it has a big crack and 9mm pocket and it needs to be extracted and an implant done. The tooth does not hurt, nor does the gum, however I realize things can progress quickly without warning. Is my only option extraction?
