I’ve been a patient of Dr. Tehrani for 15 years and I can’t say enough how much I appreciate her work and expertise! I had a cleaning done recently by Evelyn she’s amazing, very knowledgeable and very gentle! I keep going back because of the honesty and hard work that they do so I can smile.
Thank you so much for taking such good care of my daughter throughout her gum graft procedure and healing. Her orthodontist also commented that her results were great! I would strongly recommend this periodontist for any gum procedures
Dr. Tehrani provided outstanding service and attention throughout my appointments. She tailored her service to my preference and ensured I was well informed of what was going on at all times. I am planning on referring friends and family to her clinic if they are in need of similar services. Many thanks to Dr. Tehrani and her team of competent workers, as I could not be happier with the outcome and recovery.
The most professional and expert clinic I've been to. Dr. Tehrani and Dr. Iskander are both so knowledgeable, adept and advanced in their practice and they always work to get things right and of the best quality the first time. From the get go they have been open, honest and balanced. They communicate the risks (e.g., the bone graft not taking), the alternatives (e.g., a dental bridge) and the cost vs benefit. Over 2 years, Dr. Tehrani and Dr. Iskander were able to install a dental implant in place of my missing front tooth, a sensitive and complicated case that involved a detailed radiologist report (outlining the need for a bone graft and the optimal placement of the implant), a bone graft which took, a scrape and root canal, advanced imaging for the crown and a number of pre-op and post-op checkups to ensure that the site and implant were healthy. I'm not in the profession but I've learned more than I anticipated about periodontics, all the risks of the procedures and all the subtle indicators they look for to assess the health of the site. Both Dr. Tehrani and Dr. Iskander are very personable and a pleasure to speak to and get to know. All the staff are so easy going and caring, even the receptionists, whom are my favorite! They always tried to accommodate me over this 2 year journey from something as small as seeing me earlier when I was in a rush to rescheduling an operation when I forgot to fast beforehand. They even replaced the lingual wire (from braces) on my lower teeth when it broke. Over the two years every appointment I had got better and better as I got to know them and they got to know me. Dr. Tehrani and her staff always check in with me to see how I'm doing, but I began to notice that they do this with everyone else. They care about the patients and the work they do. I'm glad I got to be their patient.
I had to get a gum graft on my front two teeth. After doing extensive research, I decided to go with Dr. Tehrani. For a pretty uncomfortable procedure, she made me feel comfortable throughout the process and the office is so clean and bright. Whenever I had any questions, she took the time to answer and explain why, what, etc in great detail. I really appreciated that she explained things in depth without treating me like an idiot (like most in the dental field these days). Couldn't recommend her and her office enough! Dawna is also super nice!
I recently had some implants with Dr. Elly and her team. The experience was wonderful, she explained everything thoroughly and did an amazing job. The office was clean and professional. Highly recommended.
Dr. Tehrani is by far the best periodontist. I went to another one because of scheduling but he didn't come close to the work Dr. Tehrani does. She is very skilled at this surgery and explains everything to you in full details. You will not be disappointed at the work. Plus her office staff are so nice and accommodating.
It was my first ever time seeing a periodontist, coming in with a bunch of terrible gum, teeth, and jaw bone infections, and I feel like I won a trillion dollar lottery by choosing Dr. Elly Tehrani as my doctor. She is simply the best of the best, out of this world good. And her team is also great, all of them. Highly recommended.
I recently had an appointment with Dr. Elly Tehrani, DMD, MSD, and it was a remarkably positive experience. As someone who often feels anxious about dental visits, I was immensely reassured by the comforting and professional atmosphere created by Dr. Tehrani and her team. They were exceptionally communicative, providing detailed explanations about the procedure, the process, and what to expect during recovery. I was particularly impressed by Dr. Tehrani's honesty and transparency. Her approach alleviated my nerves and instilled a great sense of trust. I highly recommend Dr. Tehrani and her staff to anyone seeking a caring and skilled periodontist.
Dr. Tehrani came highly recommended by my dentist, and after undergoing a gum grafting procedure, I am genuinely delighted with the results. The office provided an exceptional experience; the staff is not only friendly but also highly professional. I look forward to returning for future treatments on my other teeth and won't hesitate to recommend this office to friends and family. Thank you sincerely for your outstanding service.
You do have some inflammation on your lower teeth, this could be just gingivitis which is inflamed gums only, which would resolve after scaling. It is better to see a Periodontist for an exam and xrays to rule out bone loss and Periodontitis (which is a more advanced gum disease situation than gingivitis). The black line that you see is pigmentation and is normal .
From the picture you are providing, your gums look inflamed. You will need to see a Periodontist for an exam and xrays from your teeth, to evaluate possible bone loss and treat accordingly.
You will need to consult with a periodontist. He/ She will take xrays from these teeth to evaluate amount of bone loss (possibly the cause of your recession and the shift in your teeth). are these teeth mobile? What is you bite like? are you putting too much pressure on these teeth? These are some of the factors that will need to be evaluated before deciding if these teeth could be saved or not, and if the gum recession could be corrected or not .....
It is not always possible to regenerate 100 % of the missing gum and cover all of the exposed root. In these cases, after the gum graft is completely healed, you might need white colored resin filling to cover the exposed root and to reduce the root sensitivity if any.
Sometimes some of the graft will get exposed and starts sloughing off, but if the site is not disturbed , you will get good resultsPlease follow post op instructions provided to you by your surgeon.
