25F, 115lbs, 4'11 - Am I a good candidate for breast fat transfer? (Photos)

Question

I have some issues with my breasts as they are currently. The primary isssue is the tissue above my breasts near my armpit. I am not sure if it is entirely fat, or if it is also some other kind of tissue like axial breast tissue or something. My secondary issue is that my breasts do not look particularly feminine, perky, full, normal etc. I believe this is in part because they are low rooted, somewhat saggy, and could simply use a little more tissue. Would breast fat transfer solve my issues? does the tissue above my breasts look like fat, and if so, could it be removed and put into my breasts to achieve the look Im hoping for? I ultimately just want a more normal appearing chest witj slightly fuller breasts. 25F, 115lbs, 4'11. 34" circumference directly under my armpits, above my breasts. 33" bustline circumference, 30" band circumference.

Thank you for your question. The fullness near your armpit may be caused by axillary breast tissue, excess fat, or both. This is common and can often be improved with targeted liposuction to enhance the contour in that area. While fat removed from the armpit region could potentially be transferred to the breasts for added volume, the amount available from that area alone might be limited, especially given your petite frame. Breast implants might be a better option to achieve a perkier, more feminine contour. A consultation with a board-certified surgeon would allow for an examination to determine whether the tissue near your armpit is fat or glandular tissue, and to recommend the best approach for your specific goals.

You are likely correct in assuming the fullness you are experiencing above your breasts and towards your armpits is actually breast tissue commonly referred to as axillary breast tissue. Axilla is just the medical term for armpit so that can be solved with removal of tissue through an incision near the arm pit.

Fat grafting is a good option for improving volume and size and cleavage to the breasts but there are some limits and I think in your situation an implant would be a better option to get a better shape to your breasts.

Overall, your breast look pretty normal.
Some women have fullness in front of the armpit which may represent fat and breast tissue.
Unless there’s significant skin redundancy, Liposuction works very well to remove that fullness.
When there’s skin involved, then some skin excision may be indicated as well.
 Breast fat transfer can give a modest increase in size but doesn’t really change the shape of your breast.
Would you describe is more related to breast shape than it is to size so breast fat transfer may leave you disappointed.
I suggest you have a few in person consultations with plastic surgeons in your community.
 Implants are probably an better option with Liposuction of the fullness in front of your armpit. The fat in front of your armpit is insufficient to graft your breast
