6 years post op - What is this bump and can it be fixed easily? (Photo)

It’s hard to see in photos but there is a bump on the left side of the tip. I had a fantastic rhinoplasty about 6 years ago but always felt a bump. I never saw anything until the past few weeks. What could have changed and is this something that could be fixed easily? I have had no trauma to it.

Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your photograph, you are a great candidate for a revision rhinoplasty. Maneuvers for your surgery would include tip refinement, tip support, tip elevation, among other maneuvers. I would not recommend external alar base incisions. With good...

That is a very delicate area, and it is quite unusual to make an incision there. Unfortunately, once an incision has been made, the scar will be permanent.I would not recommend attempting to excise the scar, as this would likely worsen its appearance.
