This isn't typical, but it could be the body's reaction to your procedure. If it persists, I recommend following up with your Doctor. Keep in mind, you can also have swelling for 3-6 months after Coolsculpting. I recommend adding hyperbaric oxygen and lymphatic massage along with your compression to help decrease swelling. For best results with Coolsculpting, a combination approach is needed. I recommend adding radiofrequency treatments like Vanquish, Venus Legacy, Exilis Ultra for skin tightening and with Z wave/Cellutone for skin smoothing. However, a Vaser with ThermiRF procedure is the best combination for areas like the thighs and can be combined with Cellfina to improve cellulite. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

We have had a few patients who have become nauseated and actually vomited as their  cool sculpting procedure began. It has never persisted for these patients. I would definitely contact your doctor and let him know about this adverse reaction. The doctor can contact Allergan who now owns Zeltiq the makers of the CoolSculpting equipment, and see if there have been other reported cases. Adrienne Stewart MD FAAD

Nausea is not an uncommon occurrence at the beginning of treatment and/or in the 5 minutes post CoolSculpting.  Some clients feel queezy when the applicator is first applied while others feel it for about 5 minutes post treatment when blood is rushing to the area to warm the tissue back up to its normal temperature.  Nausea can also be caused by nerves and is most often experienced by those having CoolSculpting treatments for the first time.  Once they realize how easy and non-invasive the procedure really is, the nausea magically disappears.  In a nutshell, every person is unique and will respond differently to CoolSculpting procedures.  Those who do experience nausea report that it only lasts several minutes and say they feel completely normal within 5-7minutes.  One last thing I would like to mention is that we see almost no incidence of nausea now that we exclusively use the faster and more comfortable Cooladvantage applicators.   The dramatically reduced suction and treatment time with these new applicators makes freezing fat the most comfortable, non-invasive and permanent treatment on the market!

Having nausea this long after Coolsculpting is not typical. Many times patients will experience abdominal cramping but not nausea. I would advise calling your physician for follow up.
