Without more information (typically obtained during a personal examination, and including height, weight, previous pregnancies and breast-feeding history, breast skin capacity, measurements, etc.) it is not even possible to determine if your anatomy will allow placement of 800cc implants.Generally, I might offer that 800cc in an "average" woman would add about 3 cup sizes to whatever she started with. So, of course, if you actually fill a D-cup bra now, you will be quite large (if in fact your anatomy can accommodate that additional volume). If you simply wear a D-cup bra, don't fill the bra cups, and have adequate skin capacity for 800cc implants, you will still be quite large, and will need to shop carefully or custom-order brassieres. At small D cup + 800cc implants, you may also become symptomatic with back pain, neck pain, shoulder grooves from bra straps, and ulnar nerve paresthesias from bra strap pressure on the nerves in your neck/shoulder area. These symptoms cause women with breasts of this size to seek breast reduction for relief of these debilitating problems, and often allows insurance to cover these breast reductions.Just so you know, I utilize 800cc implants in my practice reasonably commonly, but only in women whose anatomy allows excellent outcomes. Seek consultations with several ABPS-certified plastic surgeons who do lots of breast surgery and are not automatically dismissive of large(r) implants. Best wishes! Dr. Tholen
Hi,Keep in mind the larger the implant the more complications you will have. Generally you go up one cup size for each 200 cc, or about 7 ounces. So if you put a rice filled baggie filled with about 27 ounces of rice that would be about what you are shooting for. You can go online to check sites who list sizes below the patient photos. My last words would be to stay more conservative. Finally, seek a board certified plastic surgeon who is a member of ASAPS and or ASPS. Good luck, "Dr. Joe"
I cannot show you pictures of women with 800 mL implants because I don't perform that type of breast augmentation my practice. I would recommend that you see a plastic surgery that particularly performs that type of breast augmentation. I would not recommend 800 cc anyone especially if they already have a D size cup.
There is no way to guarantee a particular bra size as sizing varies by bra manufacturer. You should see a BC PS in your area to determine the best size for you.
How big you will be after placing 800cc implants depends in part on how on your height, weight, breast width, torso width and other factors. However, 800 cc implant will increase you by a minimum of two cup sizes and more likely 3+ cup sizes. 800cc implants are obviously quite large and not recommended in the average patient for breast augmentation in my opinion. Long term negative consequences of large implants include stretching of the breast skin and a suboptimal long term result with significant increased risks and need for revision surgery.
Dear Dakota, that is a huge size of implants. so unless you are very tall and strong, with large shoulders, I would discourage you to use such a size.plus none of us the doctors here can tell you much since you do not provide your height, weight, and a photo.good luck,F. Mussat
Thank you for the question. There is no accurate correlation between size of breast implant and cup size achieved.Generally speaking, the best online advice I can give to ladies who are considering breast augmentation surgery ( regarding breast implant size/profile selection) is:1. Concentrate on choosing your plastic surgeon carefully. Concentrate on appropriate training, certification, and the ability of the plastic surgeon to achieve the results you are looking for. Ask to see lots of examples of his/her work.2. Have a full discussion and communication regarding your desired goals with your plastic surgeon. This communication will be critical in determining breast implant size/type/profile will most likely help achieve your goals. In my practice, the use of photographs of “goal” pictures (and breasts that are too big or too small) is very helpful. I have found that the use of words such as “natural” or "D or DD cup” etc means different things to different people and therefore prove unhelpful. Also, as you know, cup size varies depending on him who makes the bra; therefore, discussing desired cup size may also be inaccurate. The use of computer imaging technology may also be very helpful during this communication process.3. Once you feel you have communicated your goals clearly, allow your plastic surgeon to use his/her years of experience/judgment to choose the breast implant size/profile that will best meet your goals. Again, in my practice, this decision is usually made during surgery.I hope this (and the attached link, dedicated to larger breast augmentation outcomes) help.
Thise are very large breast implants usually only used for breast reconstruction after mastectomy. Please consult a board certified plastic surgeon for an exam and consultation.
It is certainly not uncommon to have pain when sitting up and coughing 4 days after breast augmentation. The fact that your pain is on one side could be explained by the fact you're implant is a little more placed to the side than the other side. There also is an asymmetry of your...
Thank you very much for your message. The time to soften does depend a little bit on whether the implants were placed in front or behind your pectoralis major muscle. If your implants are in front we would anticipate that the majority of the swelling would have settled by a month following the...
Thank you for your question. It typically takes 6+ months for implants in a dual plane / sub pectoral pocket to completely settle, so that is when one can assess the final outcome. Inserting implants deep to the muscle provides more upper breast coverage of the implant edge so it might not...
