usually more is needed for volume and shaping. I suggest you see an expert, more can always be added. Best, Dr. Emer.
Thank you for your question and pictures. How much filler you need depends on your goals. Your lips already have nice volume and shape. If you only want a subtle enhancement then you may be fine with just 0.5ml. You can always start with that amount and add more later if desired. Make sure you are under the care of an experienced physician injector and communicate your goals to them clearly. Hope this helps!
Hello! Thank you for your question! Your lips already have a very full appearance this, although one full syringe is often done for most lips, you may be able to use 0.5cc to meet your goals. The good thing is, that syringe will be yours, and you could always have more added if the result isn’t where you desire. Best wishes!
Dear karra1221,I typically use Juvederm for my lip sculpting. There are two main focuses of lip injections, adding volume and actually sculpting the shape. Both involve injecting the filler in different areas of the lips and patterns.I would recommend finding a plastic surgeon to perform you lip injections. Most of my patients have results that last at least 6 months.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Great question. I think .5ml of Juvederm would be good to accentuate the good volume you already have. I prefer to always add less and potentially add more than add more and have to dissolve. I think .5ml would be a great way to go.

The amount of product you are considering is quite conservative and will likely only result in a mild change. I encourage you to discuss your treatment goals with your injector so that appropriate suggestions can be made. The wonderful thing about Juvederm is that you can start slowly if that is your preference, and build until you achieve the look you want.
With your lower lip being already full, I think that a good plastic surgeon like myself can easily improve on the shape and volume of the upper lip using just half a syringe of Juvederm. Good luck from New York City
Yes, you may be happy with 0.5 ml of Juvederm to enhance the upper lip and define the lower lip. It is wise to approach your goal conservatively to avoid overfilling or the need to dissolve. You can always return for more filler on a second visit if you want more. Best wishes.

Thank you for your question. This is just a bruise. It will go away with time. I would ice, take no NSAIDS, dont drink alcohol. Finding an injector that does cannula technique instead could avoid bruising significantly. Hope this helps, Dr. Thuy Doan. ATL
Thank you for your question. It is difficult to comment without your before images but it appears as if your left upper lip is not elevating with your attempts at smiling. The Botox that was injected may have affected not the muscle running around the mouth but rather the one responsible for...
