Thank you very muchfor your question and congratulations on your recent breast augmentationprocedure. At four weeks post-op, you are still in the very earliest stages ofrecovery. Your breasts are still swollen and have not had a chance to fullysettle on your chest. Swelling can take six months or longer to resolve. Overthe next several months, as your post-op swelling resolves, your breasts shouldstart to feel softer and more natural. Give your body time to heal andcarefully follow your doctor’s instructions during this time period. If youhave any further concerns, I suggest reaching out to your operating surgeon forhis/her advice
Absolutely ! It is normal for the breasts to be firm, and have too much “top-fullness” for the first 4 to 6 months post-op. Be patient. Every couple of weeks you will notice that they are getting softer. See the link below for more info ...
You are still very early in your surgical recovery. Hard breasts are a common concern and is quite normal as your body heals and accommodates the implants. Speak to your surgical team, they may be able to recommend some massaging techniques that can soften the breasts and break down any scar tissue build up that has occurred. All the best with your recovery,

Thank you for your question. Healing after plastic surgery is a process and the earlier parts are the most challenging. Emotions are a big part of the process as well. You're still in the early stage of healing and should give it more time for your breasts you heal. It usually takes up to 3 months for patients to start seeing the final results from their breast augmentation surgery.
Patient's heal in very different ways. It is not unusual to still be quite hard at four weeks. You will have a better idea of your and results by about three or six months. Your implants certainly may soften up quite a bit.
4 weeks after a breast augmentation surgery can be considered to be an early stage in the healing process. It is not uncommon for the breast tissues to feel tight and hard at this point. You are likely to have quite a bit of swelling and this will probably resolve in time. As you continue to heal, the tissues will become softer and more relaxed. You should give it some time.Hope this helps,Ali Rıza Öreroğlu, MD FEBOPRASEuropean and Turkish Board Certified Aesthetic, Plastic and Reconstructive SurgeonIstanbul, Turkey
Hi! 4 weeks post breast augmentation surgery is not a lot of time in the grand scheme of things. It is not uncommon for the tissues to still be tight at this point and hence the breasts will feel a bit firm. As time goes on, like in a few months, things will soften up considerably. Try and be patient. Your body has a lot of healing to do!Best of luck to you!G. Robert Meger MD
Four weeks postop is still relatively early in the recovery process. The breasts should continue to get softer over time. Be sure to follow along with your surgeon so that they can monitor your progress.
Thank you for your question. I understand your concern and you are very early in the healing process it will take time for your breasts to adjust to the implants and for the swelling to subside. Every doctor has their own recovery protocol, so I would follow up with him or her about your concerns.Kamran Azad MD, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon
Thank you for asking about your breast augmentation. You have a lovely result to date. Your surgery was less than two weeks ago - you are swollen and cannot see the final shape. You need to wait six months. You will see more shape emerge as the swelling subsides. Please also be aware that the ...
As the implants settle, the nipple can definitely push forward and up, kind of like a child on a swing. The average size implant these days seem to be about 375 and most people come back after surgery wishing they had gone bigger. This is the most common “complication” after breast aug...
The picture that you have shown as shows that the areola has separated from the incision side of the breast in two different areas. In my practice I would deal with this with secondary healing meaning that I would let the body heal itself. I'm quite certain that in doing so, you may be left with...
