I have lipo 360 and a bbl 6 months ago, I’m left with this odd bumping on my stomach, what is this and what can I do?
Answer: Weird bumps on stomach after lipo 360 & BBL, what are they & what can I do? Hi! You probably need revision surgery. You have 2 posible diagnosis. 1. This is probably fat that was left behind. So careful lipo to this specific area should resolve the issue. 2. If it’s not fat, then it is probably a seroma. This is fluid build up between the skin and muscle. This can be diagnosed with an ultrasound and then aspirated with a needle. But, when the seroma happens so far along the post op process it creates a capsule. This capsule make it harder to resolve with needle aspiration alone. If this is the case, you would need a revision to not only aspirate the fluid but excise the capsule as well. The incision would be bigger then the lipo incision but if carefully dine and well placed this will not be an issue.

Answer: Bumps on stomach after lipo Dear Mollie1015, I would have to examine you but it appears that this is a contour irregularity after liposuction. This happens often when areas the undergo liposuction are not feathered appropriately. The good news is that it can be fixed and I have done so with good results before. While there is always a chance for contour irregularities with liposuction, someone who takes their time and uses the appropriate sized cannulas should give you a superb result. I have all my patients wear compression garments and I use multiple sized cannulas to feather out the result. Answer: Poorly done Liposuction Your outcome is a direct reflection of the two variables that determine Liposuction outcomes. The first is the patient’s candidacy for the procedure. To assess your candidacy we need to see before pictures. The second very well is how the procedure was performed and this is probably where the problem came from. Delivering consistent quality, liposuction results is far more difficult than most people realize. The number of plastic surgeons have truly mastered. Liposuction are in a small minority. Doing this procedure well is not necessarily the standard or the norm. Liposuction should be considered a permanent and irreversible treatment. If done poorly, it is very difficult to improve the outcome. Some improvements may be possible. Assessing someone for revision surgery is far more complex than that of Primary Liposuction. Revision work is many times more difficult than primary Liposuction so provider selection is absolutely paramount. The following are some general guidelines and recommendations for finding the best provider. This may be helpful for anyone seeking primary body, contouring or revision work. To find the best provider, I suggest patient schedule multiple in person consultations with experienced plastic surgeons in their community. During each consultation, ask each provider to open up their portfolio and show you their entire collection of before and after pictures of previous patients who have similar body or facial characteristics to your own. An experienced plastic surgeon should have no difficulty showing you the before and after pictures of at least 50 previous patients. An experienced provider should in fact have hundreds or preferably thousands of before and after pictures to choose from for commonly performed procedures. Being shown a handful of preselected images, representing the best results of a provider’s career is insufficient to get a clear understanding of what average results will look like in the hands of each provider. There is no correct number of consultations needed to find the best provider. The more consultations you scheduled the more likely you are to find the best provider for your needs. Take careful notes during each consultation, especially regarding the quantity and quality of before and after pictures. It’s not a bad idea to bring pictures of your own body/face to use as reference when reviewing before and after pictures. The biggest mistake patients make is scheduling only one consultation without properly vetting or comparing providers before scheduling surgery. I Best, Mats Hagstrom, MD
