Hello I was wondering is there anything in particular that I can do to look somewhat normal again. I don’t like the overly done bbl look with wide hips and overly done glutes. I of course know that I will need a lift due to recently lost 50lbs and previous reduction. Hoping to get more lipo on glutes/hips and a lift. Im going for a more natural approach this time around.
Answer: BBL results Dear kiaraaa, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what is wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice. Answer: How to improve overdone hips and buttocks after BBl? Very likely that you will need two stages to reduce bulk of hips and buttocks and correct resulting laxity. My suggestion would be to do a conservative reduction with liposuction, wait at least 6-8 months for result to mature and stabilize and proceed with next stage which may be something like buttock lift. In person consultation or teleconference with a board certified plastic surgeon with expertise in body contouring is recommended. Good luck.

Answer: Changing BBL results Liposuction and fat transfer shouldn’t be considered permanent or close to permanent type procedures. It’s possible to reduce your gluteal and hip areas, but leaving you with a nice body contour it’s going to be challenging Did your surgeon do a liposuction of your thighs with the BBL? Your situation is complex and will be difficult. Revision of work is far more difficult than primary liposuction or fat transfer. Provider selection is absolutely paramount. Revision Work can easily make things worse, so fuck off your effort, and finding the best provider. The following are some general recommendations for provider selection. These are true, whether someone is having a primary procedur or Revision Work. To find the best provider, I suggest patient schedule multiple in person consultations with experienced plastic surgeons in their community. During each consultation, ask each provider to open up their portfolio and show you their entire collection of before and after pictures of previous patients who have similar body or facial characteristics to your own. An experienced plastic surgeon should have no difficulty showing you the before and after pictures of at least 50 previous patients. An experienced provider should in fact have hundreds or preferably thousands of before and after pictures to choose from for commonly performed procedures. Being shown a handful of preselected images, representing the best results of a provider’s career is insufficient to get a clear understanding of what average results will look like in the hands of each provider. There is no correct number of consultations needed to find the best provider. The more consultations you scheduled the more likely you are to find the best provider for your needs. Take careful notes during each consultation, especially regarding the quantity and quality of before and after pictures. It’s not a bad idea to bring pictures of your own body/face to use as reference when reviewing before and after pictures. The biggest mistake patients make is scheduling only one consultation without properly vetting or comparing providers before scheduling surgery. Best, Mats Hagstrom, MD
