Liposuction on face - is it safe with a microcannula?

Isolde7
I've read conflicting things about liposuction on the face, and am wondering what others here have to say. I have excess fat around my mouth - I've seen it referred to here at times as perioral mounds. It isn't buccal fat, and from close research it doesn't seem related to the masseter. I wouldn't schedule anything without more careful consultation. But I am curious whether liposuction of the face is universally considered too risky, or if there are cases where it might be a viable treatment?
