What will I feel under IV sedation for a BBL? Will their be any chance I will feel pain or will I be numb?

I was told that my option was to have I.V sedation, and I'd be sleep. However, researching online I came across people saying they were just heavily sedated. I'd rather be under General anesthesia so I'm guarenteed I'm sleep..

Hello, thanks for your question and provided information. you will not feel anything. Because you will be sedated and pain free during epidural block too. Consult with your board certified plastic surgeon before surgery. After surgery you will feel a little numbness, for at least a couple of days. It is completely normal.

I'm going to strongly recommend that you be completely asleep with what is called a general anesthetic... especially if it is your choice. I believe your experience will be much more pleasant. When you wake up, it will all be over and you'll be in your dressings and garment. Good luck!

I use IV sedation prior the epidural for my procedures. 
The IV sedation will put you to sleep deep and profund,  and will not feel anything, not even the epidural injection.
Is less risky for the patient that the General Anesthesia, so less risks is always the best option.

There are some grey areas where IV sedation and general anesthesia overlap. IV sedation can be very light where folks remember their procedure, or it can be heavy, where you are completely asleep. Your airway is much better protected under general anesthesia and I believe, when you are laying face down (such as during BBL), general anesthesia with a protected airway is safer. Make sure you are having surgery in a state certified facility and with and American Board of Plastic Surgery certified surgeon.

IV sedation has all levels. General anesthesia can be administered via an IV too.  It all depends upon the level of sedation.
