How soon after a BBL can you go back to work?

Thanks for your question. Most patients usually take 1-2 weeks to recover from a BBL. Depending on your job, a restriction may be placed on the amount of physical exertion you should engage in or a limitation on the length of time you can sit on your buttocks at any given time. These recommendations vary by surgeon so discuss your concerns with your plastic surgeon.

Thank you for your question. After a BBL surgery, Patients can return to light activities almost immediately after surgery, normal activities 2 weeks after surgery, and vigorous exercise 4 weeks after surgery.  We usually experience a slow steady improvement for 3 months or so after surgery. That said, you definitely have to choose your surgeon correctly and make sure that he/she has the training and experience to meet your goals with absolute safety.  Best is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon with specialized expertise in this procedure.

Thank you very much for this relevant question. You already gave a hint that it is not the same for any kind of job. After two weeks patients normally could go back to work however sitting on your buttocks is not advertised for at least three weeks after surgery. There are little tricks for you to be able to sit,like sitting on a rolled up yoga mat ( like you were sitting on a fence). This way you will not directly sit on your buttocks but more on your thighs. This also forces you to sit up straight which is good for your back.  If you feel up to going back to work and you can avoid sitting  or you can arrange sitting on a yoga mat rolle you should be able to go back to work after two weeks otherwise I recommend one week longer. Most BBL patients are ok to go back to work at 2 weeks post op. It will depend also , on the type of work , amount of liposuction and combined procedures.  So it can vary .Best wishes

Hello dylansmiff - Most Brazilian Butt Lift patients return to work the next week. What doctors suggest is being cautious about physical activity and avoiding working out the affected regions for at least two week period of time. Furthermore, extended periods of sitting on the buttock should be avoided. Check with your surgeon on the specifics of recovery. Best wishes.

This a very common question in our office. It all dependents what kind of work you do, standing is ok with compression stockings to reduce DVT formation.  2 weeks for general fatigue is the most common recommendation.  Always ask your surgeon and follow all post surgical instructions and recommendations for your best interest and results.  Once again 8 weeks is recommended no pressure on your buttocks so use bbl pillows under your thighs for the first 8 weeks.
