hello thank you for your question and provided information as well.. based in your question and the picture you showed its recommended loose weight before, around 60 pounds, and after get evaluation again with a plastic surgeon.
Hello and thank you for your question and photos. You should lose weight prior to any surgical procedures for your own safety. If you can decrease your BMI to 30 or less, than you would likely be a a good candidate for a Tummy Tuck with liposuction and fat transfer to the buttocks. Best of luck with your weight loss goals.
Thanks for your question. We never want to do anything that might jeopardize our patient's health. Unfortunately, based on the measurements your BMI is 44.3, making you ineligible for cosmetic surgery at this time. High BMI poses high surgical risk and reduces the likelihood you will receive optimal cosmetic results. Patients considering cosmetic surgery should have a BMI closer to 30 to help minimize risks and to maximize results. If you have been unable to reach your goal weight with diet and exercise we recommend you schedule a consultation with a Board Certified Bariatric Surgeon.
Dear GORGEOUSGangsta,as long as your asthma is under control, you might be a candidate for a surgery but you should reduce your BMI under 30 in order to reduce the risk of complications. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
To decrease the risks of complications during and after surgery and to ensure optimum results, you will need to lose weight to come closer to a BMI of 30 (your current BMI is 44.4) Once you get within 10 pounds of your goal weight and are able to maintain it for six months and are in good health, you would be a candidate for a BBL. If the asthma is under control as stated by your internist or managing doctor, then the BBL could be undertaken. Kenneth Hughes, MD, ABPS Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLos Angeles, CA
In general, you are likely a good candidate for a Brazilian butt lift if you have adequate fat stores in other areas to harvest for injection into the buttocks but it is also suggested that patients are eligible for a fat transfer procedure if they have a BMI below 30 . Also, patients with certain health conditions may not be suitable for the procedure due to the potential increase in risks and complications, which means that anyone interested in a BBL should firstly check with the doctor they have chosen to make sure they are in good overall health before having the procedure. In your case my dear, I would suggest you to work on losing weight at first so you avoid any kind of complication you might get from the procedure. After that, you might consider a BBL. Maybe by that time you will need a Tummy Tuck as well to remove the excess skin which loses elasticity and becomes saggy after losing weight. I believe that these operations done together would give you very satisfying results. Best regards, Ozge Egun M.D Aesthetic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon
Thank you for your question. Based on your photos you will achieve better results with tummy tuck to correct the sagging skin excess and fat tissue, getting a flat and stronger abdomen with a liposuction and Dominican butt lift transferring the fat that we get to your butt molding and improving your gluteal volume and projection. For safety reasons, to be a good candidate for the procedures you want at the same time, your labs and cardiovascular preoperative evaluation must be optimal. Therefore, you must be a healthy person, within an appropriate BMI, for this reason I recommend you to loose weight before get this procedure done.Respectfully,Dr. Emmanuel Mallol Cotes.
Hello dear! Thanks for the question and provided information as well.Unfortunately, right now your BMI is 44 and it needs to be 33 or less, for you to be considered a good candidate for plastic surgery.l recommend you to make an appointment with a board certified plastic surgeon to talk about your goals and the best options for you.Good luck :)
You could absolutely find a surgeon willing to do your surgery. However, I would question if they had your best interests at heart. I would recommend a program to improve you weight (closer to 200 would be optimal) and then seek out an experienced, board certified plastic surgeon who operates out of a hospital or accredited center. This would give you the best chance at low complications and the outcomes you’re looking for.Best wishes,Dr. Spann
Currently, your BMI is about 43. Most surgeons will not operate on someone with a BMI over 40, some require you to be under 35 or even 30. The decision is based on the risks of the surgery that is proposed as well as their experience and where they perform the surgery. My cutoff is a BMI 0f 40 for a BBL. I only perform this operation at a hospital where my patients all spend the night in private rooms. The additional fee for the overnight stay is only about $250. This makes the surgery Safer, more comfortable with better pain medications, better antinausea medications better for healing purposes as well because we keep you very well hydrated. Safety is the most important factor. There are numerous precautions that we take to be sure that you get beautiful results and do it safely.
