Restylane Lyft vs Sculptra: please help me decide which is best?

I prefer restylane for a couple of reasons. The sculptra is a great product in certain places but in the cheeks/under the eyes I prefer restylane products. HAs are dissolvable if need be- sculptra is not. HA fillers are also immediate- you get immediate feedback and satisfaction with your procedure. Scultra is not... it takes several treatments over several months to see effects and often times the slow evolution makes it less noticeable.

Thanks for your question.  Restylane Lyft and Sculptra are both are excellent choices, and there are pros and cons to both fillers.  With Restylane Lyft, the results of this Hyaluronic Acid (HA) filler are immediate-you can see the added volume immediately after it's injected, and but it does not typically last as long as Sculptra. Results from Sculptra (a poly-L-lactic acid injectable) can last longer-in a clinical study, 80% of patients were still satisfied with their results 25 months after their last injection, but it may take several treatments, spaced weeks apart to get the correction you are looking for.  Do your research, and consult with your injector to discuss your needs to develop a treatment plan tailored to you!  Best wishes, Dr. Aldo :-)

Thank you for your question. Restylane Lyft is an injectable hyaluronic acid gel used to correct volume loss and treat wrinkles in the face. The pro with this filler is that the results are instant. Sculptra unlike other injectable fillers, is a volumizing filler that causes the body to produce new collagen. This means it takes longer to show results, but the results will last longer than Restylane. For more information, I recommend getting a in person consultation from a board-certified dermatologist.

Both are excellent choices, the general pros of Restylane are immediate volumization but the effects are not long lasting. I like using Sculptra when I perform volumetric structural rejuvenation, and sounds like you need something like that due to depletion of your fat pads. Aside from being long lasting, Sculptra also has biologic properties and improves the skin quality. 

In almost all cases I go with HA's because if there is a problem with it, I can dissolve it.  Sculptra I find is good for very hollow faces, and it requires multiple treatments to achieve the desired effect.
