You can lower your hair line but you need an exam to make sure you would be a candidate.The area you draw out may seem small but you may need surgery to overlap the areas with hair if it shows signs of thinning (future hair loss).  This will change the surgery planning. This is why you may get a WIDE RANGE of estimates from 1000 to 2000 grafts

Thank you for the photo.  An in person evaluation would be helpful, but based on the photos I would estimate approximately 1800 grafts to over 2,000 depending on desire.

expect.

I have provided a video featuring a patient whose initial
condition (prior to his hair restoration) bears similarities to the images you
provided. His recession was slightly more extreme. This procedure required 2500
grafts. However again, your doctor can provide you with a figure that is more
specific to your case.

With hairlines, it is also important to consider the
softness of the front edge for a natural look. Leg or nape hair which is thin in caliber make
excellent choices for insertions along this border. 

Hairline reconstruction should be done meticulously with micrografts. You may achieve noticable improvement with 500 grafts but should consult with an experienced surgeon for an examination.  

Assuming you have no underlying scalp condition or medical issue that would make you not suitable for transplantation, 1500-1800 grafts would provide a nice coverage. A second session may be needed for generation of even greater density. 

Hair restoration for hairline can be very tricky.  Often it is done in 2 steps to achieve a natural and full density.   The number of grafts needed depends on the density of your follicles and grafts.  The range may be between 1200-1800 FUE hair implants.

It's difficult to say for certain without seeing you but 1500-2000 grafts would be a fair approximation.  Your donor area would have to be evaluated as well to determine if you have sufficient hair to transplant.  Good luck
