I am a 28 year old female. My nose has grown significantly in the last few years and I’m starting to really dislike how it looks, especially in pictures. The tip is bulbous and it’s generally just very big. I don’t mind how it looks from the front but from the sides and from an angle it takes over my face. I have big eyes, big lips and prominent cheeks I think I’d look ridiculous with a small nose and that’s what I’m worried I’ll be left with. What would you suggest needs doing to be natural
Answer: Nose Growing? Hi. Your RealSelf name is "fantastic", and you look fantastic! Noses do not rally "grow" appreciably once we reach puberty. But they do change a bit over time. You have beautiful facial proportions. But your nose is on the large size and your chin is diminutive. And the skin on your nose is also rather thin. Nasal skin tends to thicken with age. I will venture a guess. My hunch is that as you have aged, the nasal tip (like everything due to gravity) has fallen ever so slightly. If your tip is already a little low, and you have a tiny hump, those changes can compound and make the overall nose less attractive. On top of that, it appears as though your tip has drifted ever so slightly to your left side. So when you were younger, your tip was more symmetrical and elevated. And since the rest of your face is so pretty, as your nose has drifted and drooped ever so slightly, the TINY imperfections in your nose are more bothersome. Don't worry, the nose ages slowly and there is no 911 situation here. I would recommend you go take your sweet time and go to a handful of rhinoplasty consultations with experienced surgeons who perform digital imaging of your nose slightly smaller and more straight. You can decide for yourself how much reduction and elevation you desire. And then make your decision. Choose carefully. Thin skinned, slightly deviated noses are challenging.

Answer: Rhinoplasty Hello, Surgical rhinoplasty might be a good option for you to improve the shape of your nasal tip, make it more defined and less droopy. The size can be reduced by decreasing the projection just enough to fit your face. It is better to see a rhinoplasty surgeon and discuss how your nose will look like after surgery.

Answer: Rhinoplasty through a closed technique In person exam is essential. Based on the limited photos- it appears that you are a good candidate for Rhinoplasty preferably performed through a closed technique. In the right, experienced hands you expect a more elegant, more feminine nose.

This is one of the 3 most common concerns from people who consider rhinoplasty, and it doesn't happen. People, in general, do not look completely different after rhinoplasty - the surgery of millimeters. They tend to look and feel better. If you're concerned by the appearance of your droopy nasal tip appearance, consider consulting with several reputable rhinoplasty specialists. Computer imaging may be helpful for establishing goals. Answer: Subtle change Hi, you can have a rhinoplasty but ask for only a subtle change. Your nose is prominent and can be made slightly less so without making a drastic change. For example a small amount of de-projection and giving a more defined supra-tip break point would probably give you the appearance you are looking for
