Asymmetry post upper and lower bleph - how can this be improved? (Photo)

Question

I had an upper and lower bleph 10 months ago, my right is smaller, slightly higher and looks retracted ( akin to a glass eye) I sent pictures to my surgeon who states there was asymmetry pre op. I accept that we all have a degree of asymmetry, however one eyelid is certainly smaller ( less skin) than the other, which was not the case pre op! What are my options on repairing this? It's really knocked my confidence.

It is very frequent to end up with a small asymmetry after blepharoplasty. Usually it is a result of pre-existing asymmetry to which neither you nor your surgeon payed attention before surgery. After surgery, however, patients have a tendency to look at their result more critically and multiple times a day, so these discrete problems all of a sudden become much more significant. In your case, at least based on my observation, asymmetry is minimal I barely visible. It can easily be corrected with skillful make up. No need for surgery. It will look much better when skin regain natural elasticity and softness in time. I hope this helps.

It's true that we all do have some degree of asymmetry which is considered normal.  From the submitted photos the difference between the eyes is minimal.  You have to be careful when considering correction that you may overcorrect and then be dealing with a different issue.  You can look into options such as filler, Botox or fat transfer.  I encourage you to visit with an experienced injector and be detailed about what your concerns are and what you can expect in terms of results.
