Hi. Im a 24 year old female. I have a concern about my nose. I feel like the tip of my nose is too close to the base of my nose, almost as if its touching. Also i believe i have a very small nose, and I have a large philtrum, and very thin lips. Will this cause issues as I age? What type of nose is this? Can th tip be made bigger? Also can the philtrum be reduced?
Answer: Rhinoplasty I don’t see your nose that way at all. You have what some would call a tension nose because your upper lip is tight and short. Lowering your bridge and reducing the lower edge of your septum would be needed. I would do this as a closed rhinoplasty

Answer: Nose shape Thank you for your query. Without a front view , it’s is difficult to comment on the width of your philtrum or nose. The naso-labial angle, which is the angle between your nose and lip, appears to be fine, although there is a little strain when you smile. You can have more of a projection and refinement of your nasal tip ,that may help. Some lip augmentation may help as well. The first step may be to get proper pictures including 3 D morphing to assess what you are looking for. Please find an experienced, board certified Plastic surgeon who can examine you and help you with all your concerns. All the best!

Answer: Why rhinoplasty and a lip lift may be right for you Thank you for your question and photos. It is possible to increase your nasal projection during rhinoplasty, which may involve bone or cartilage grafting to achieve a well-supported and well-defined result. This procedure can be combined with a lip lift to shorten your extended philtrum and reveal more of your upper lip for a supple, natural-looking appearance. When considering rhinoplasty, it’s important to mention that it is one of the most complex of all plastic surgery procedures, requiring experience, skill, and even artistry to achieve an optimal outcome. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with an experienced, board-certified facial plastic surgeon, with expertise in rhinoplasty techniques. They will be able to review your concerns and goals and determine the best treatment plan for you.

Answer: Rhinoplasty Hello! Thank you for your question. As far as I can see from your photos your surgeon made an illusion with a rhinoplasty for your concern. When tip of your nose lifted the area looks like a longer. Best Regards!

Answer: Increasing nasal tip projection: Increasing nasal tip projection: you appear to have somewhat insufficient nasal tip projection. This is usually due to a short and/ or week columella. If this is the case a procedure called a septal extension graft using cartilage harvested from the septum to increase the nasal tip projection can be performed as part of a routine rhinoplasty. This can be done using a closed or open technique which ever you are surgeon is most comfortable with.
