Thank you for your question and photos. You appear to be a candidate for tip plasty to achieve a well-defined nasal appearance. This procedure may involve reshaping your nose by placing sutures in the nasal tip to narrow it, and removing cartilage to reduce the rounded, bulbous appearance you mentioned. While tip plasty isn’t as complex, any form of rhinoplasty is still considered one of the most complex of all plastic surgery procedures, requiring experience, skill, and even artistry to achieve an optimal outcome. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with an experienced, board-certified facial plastic surgeon, with expertise in tip rhinoplasty techniques. They will be able to discuss your concerns and goals with you and determine the best course of action.
In the pictures you have sent, I can only see a small difference in the tip, which is more narrow in the simulation and because of that, I believe this can be achieved with a Tip Rhinoplasty alone as no work needs to be done to the bone.
Based on your morphed photo, I believe you are looking to achieve a narrower nasal tip appearance. If you're oblique and profile nasal photos are pleasing, tip plasty may be feasible. Please consider visiting several reputable rhinoplasty specialists who offer computer Imaging so you could see what might be best for you moving forward. I hope this is helpful. Sincerely, Dr Joseph
Hello! Thank you for your question. From the photo you provided I can say that you are not just reduced the size of the tip. You reduce also the nostrils and this surgery name is alar base plasty. So with the only tip plasty you might not reach you goal. If you can provide photos with better lighting, from the side of your face and 1 meter away I would be able to make a proper evaluation. It would be more convenient to decide with face-to-face consultation. Best Regards!
Yes, a tip plasty can be used for a dramatic or a subtle change. What you are showing is a subtle change. It can be achieved with a closed tip-plasty under local anestheisa. RegardsDr. J
What could a tip plastic achieve in your case? A tip plasty can be performed as a separate, independent procedure. In this context it can be done under local anesthesia if the patient wishes, and can be done as a closed procedure. It appears that the change you illustrate is rather modest and achievable by a Tip plasty. You do not show side views however so I’m not sure whether a tip plasty would be sufficient for your profile.
