Hello, Surgical rhinoplasty can help you get a slimmer nose. The bridge of your nose can be narrowed, the tip can be narrowed, and the alar base width can be reduced. This will give an appearance of slimmer nose.
Thank you for your question and photos. It is possible to make subtle changes during rhinoplasty without creating an overly slim shape or pointy tip. During this procedure, your nose can be reshaped to achieve a result that complements the rest of your facial features. This may involve an alar base reduction and the insertions of struts or grafts, depending on the specific changes you’d like to see. Please keep in mind that rhinoplasty is one of the most complex of all plastic surgery procedures, requiring experience, skill, and even artistry to achieve an optimal outcome. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with an experienced, board-certified facial plastic surgeon, with expertise in rhinoplasty techniques and experience working with patients who have thicker skin. They will be able to discuss your concerns and aesthetic goals with you to determine the best course of action.
Based on your photos and your desires, you appear to desire narrowing of your bridge tip and nostrils. Please consider visiting several reputable rhinoplasty specialists who understand how to perform rhinoplasty in patients with thicker skin types. You appear to have realistic expectations. I hope this is helpful! Sincerely, Dr Joseph
Hello! Thank you for your question. From the photos you provided I can say that with the rhinoplasty you may achieve your goal. Your surgeon will be do rib cartilage reconstruction for more cartilage to reshape your nose. If you can provide photos with better lighting, from the side of your face and 1 meter away I would be able to make a proper evaluation. It would be more convenient to decide with face-to-face consultation. Best Regards!
Hi Taylee. Make a slimmer upper part, defining tip point and alar base resection are enough for you.
Could you achieve your model nose? The nose which you show is a natural result of a routine rhinoplasty. You might also consider narrowing the nostril base. To get an excessively thin nose with a pointy tip would be very unnatural in your case and would be difficult to achieve even if you wanted it. you appear to have fairly thick skin of your nasal tip. This naturally leads to a softer tip. A routine closed rhinoplasty would probably deliver the result you are seeking while being minimally invasive, and would avoid “unnatural“ done looking results.
From the photographs presented you have very thick skin in the tip of the nose itself, so don't expect significant improvement in that area. An alar plasty can accomplish narrowing your wide Nostrils. A closed rhinoplasty approach can accomplish narrowing the entire bridge line with osteotomy's. Digital computer imaging by a rhinoplasty expert would be helpful to understand what can be accomplished with the procedure upon your facial features.
enough to do something about it, it can be improved with a natural artistically performed rhinoplasty. What would be the best option and exact procedure would depend on an in person examination (not just an online consultation) and discussion about desired outcome. Excellent results can be achieved with either a closed or open technique.Keep in mind that following advice from a surgeon on this or any other website who proposes to tell you exactly what to do and how technically to do it based on limited photos without examining you, physically feeling your tissue, assessing your desired outcome, taking a full medical history and discussing the pros and cons of the operative procedure would not be in your best interest. Natural appearing results need to be individualized and what is appropriate for one patient is not necessarily the best for someone else. I would suggest that you find a surgeon with extensive rhinoplasty experience certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and one who is ideally a member of The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) that you trust and are comfortable with. You should discuss your concerns with that surgeon in person. Robert Singer, M.D., FACSLa Jolla, California
Dear Taylee22,The wish pic that you provided is a reasonable expectation for your rhinoplasty. Your thick nasal skin will prevent you from getting a super slim nose with a pointy tip. You might require a nasal base narrowing procedure as well. Seek consultation with an American Board of Plastic Surgery board certified plastic surgeon for an examination and discussion of your options. Good luck!
