I had a 8lb baby & my skin on my stomach is now loose and wrinkly. I try to work out but I feel its not going to get rid of this ugly skin. I'm not sure if I need any type of surgery, skin cream or laser Skin tighting.
Answer: What do I need to do to get rid of this type of skin? Thank you for your question and photos. Unfortunately, no amount of exercise is going to improve skin quality or remove stretch marks. A TT will remove all excess skin and create a flat tummy. Your sides will also be improved by cinching them in creating a much coveted waistline. I like to employ mesh to give patients the flattest abdomen possible and long term results. Mesh is to be considered only if you are done with pregnancies. Please view the article below to learn how the mesh works in conjunction to TT surgery. I hope this helps.Best wishes,Gary Horndeski M.D.

Answer: What do I need to do to get rid of this type of skin? The only way to remove loose skin of the abdomen is by performing a tummy tuck (abdominoplasty). In the performance of a full abdominoplasty, an incision is made from one hip to the other. The incision is carried through the skin and fat layer and stops at the muscle layer. At this level the skin and fat layer is elevated off of the underlying muscle layer. This elevation is continued up to the belly button. An incision is then made around the belly button to keep it in it's normal location allowing the skin and fat layer to continue to be elevated up to the rib margin. Very often tightening of the muscle layer is then accomplished before removing the excess skin. The loose skin and fat layer is then pulled down snugly and the excess skin and fat is then removed. The belly button has not been moved or removed. It is still in it's normal location underneath the skin and fat layer. An incision is made over the belly button and it is pulled up to the surface and re-stitched in it's original location. For a simple and illustrated explanation of tummy tuck and body contouring procedures, watch my video.

Answer: Tummy tuck usually the best option for post-pregnancy loose skin Tummy tucks do what exercise and diet cannot: Remove excess skin, repair muscle separation if necessary, and remove localized fat if necessary. There are some technologies that can tighten skin a little bit but none come close to what a tummy tuck does.

Answer: Tummy tuck Great question and photo. It appears that you have a typical appearance and complaint from a woman seeking a tummy tuck. The loose skin following a pregnancy will likely not improve significantly with a laser or cream. The most effective solution is removal of the excess skin with plication of the muscle laxity to flatten the abdomen. Find a good surgeon in your area and be evaluated for a tummy tuck.
