Rectus plication can be evaluate on physical exam when you come to your first visit. If you had children or had weight gain and loss most of the time you would benefit from rectus plication.

A Tummy Tuck is not considered medically necessary. It is considered cosmetic. A panniculectomy  could be covered by insurance but it is a limited procedure. It only involves removing excess skin of the lower portion of the abdomen. It does not sculpt your abdomen or tighten your muscles. 

I am not sure how they usually approach the spine from anterior . . . I am surprised they are using your tummy tuck incision as I would have anticipated a vertical incision for exposure. So at least you will not have an extra scar. Your muscles will likely not be undone by the operation as well....

Hello Mandie. I'm sorry to hear about your wound complication. Wound delays and open wounds after tummy tuck are not uncommon and if managed promptly should lead to a reasonable outcome. You need better therapy than just "air dry" your wound. You need to talk to your PS ASAP for evaluation and...
