Depending on how severe the inversion is, they can sometimes correct after breast feeding. There is not a non-surgical method to repair inverted nipples, however, the procedure is very minor and is done in 20 min under local anesthesia.
Some form of surgery is required to correct inverted nipples. But, multiple options are available. One approach is to release the tethering ducts and tissue with a needle and then perform nipple piercing.
