Surgery is the best way. You can try a minimally invasive approach using a needle with a small cutting surface and possibly some filler material.
If your nipple becomes everted at times, you may be able to treat it with a piercing. If a barbell type piercing is placed in the nipple, and the nipple stays everted for two months, there is a chance that it will stay this way. This is much less expensive than surgery, but there is more risk that this won't work.
Inverted nipples can absolutely and permanentlybe corrected by a surgical procedure. Most procedures do not work except the onewhere the nipple ducts are divided and the nipple is re-sutured. This doesprevent breast-feeding. This is an office procedure that works excellent. Ihave had several patients who everted their nipples and placed jewelry throughtheir nipples such as a post and were able to breast-feed, but this will notmaintain nipple eversion once the jewelry post is removed. Otherwise, nothingcan be done to permanently evert nipples other than these two methods. I hopethis helps.
I've seen minor nipple inversion respond to a breast pump. Your inversion might be too deep, but you could give it a try.
To my knowledge, there is no permanent non-surgical correction of an inverted nipple. The good news is that surgery can be done under local anesthesia and usually has good results. Consult in person with a board-certified plastic surgeon to review your options.
Thank you for the question. There is no non surgical way to "fix" an inverted nipple. Inverted nipples can cause functional and "emotional" concerns for women. An inverted nipple can look flat or a slit like depression or hole at the normal nipple location. There are different degrees of inverted nipples possible. Correction of inverted nipples depends on the problem.Usually correction of the inverted nipples involve division of the lactiferous (milk ducts). Risks of the procedure include potential loss of sensation, inability to breast-feed, recurrence of the asymmetry and the potential need for further surgery.I hope this, and the attached link, helps.
Unfortunately, there is not a non-surgical treatment for inverted nipples. Surgery is relatively straight forward and can be performed under local anesthesia. Most plastic surgeons offer financing, if cost is a concern for you. Thank you for your question. Best wishes.
Sore mom your question was a while ago and i hope you've had it treated. You should be seen by your gyn and breast surgeon. Probably to start with ultrasound and mammogram with regard to inverted nipples Plastic Surgery, The Naked Truth about Nipple Correction To begin with, many women...
You photos show that nipples are still inverted. This occasionally happens after surgical correction. If you don't plan to breast feed, a second surgical attempt should suffice.
Inverted nipple correction may prevent breast feeding. Sometimes women with inverted nipples have a hard time breast feeding anyways. Also, they sometimes come out with breast feeding. Consider waiting.
