Have you come across someone with a double gluteal fold and great results? (Photo)

I am a 25 year old female. I was born with a double gluteal fold. I am curious if anyone has come across a condition like mine and been able to correct the double gluteal fold with great results? Has any surgeon perform liposuction to severe banana rolls and eliminated them successfully.

Thank you for your question.  Over the years, I have modified the infra gluteal thigh lift technique called a "Thong lift" in which I remove the double roll of tissue.  It is very effective at improving this area.  The scar generally heals very nicely.  Best wishes to you.

Although many skilled board certified plastic surgeons have attempted to eliminate natural banana roll such as yours with liposuction, more often than not, things are made worse not better. Long story short, it is extremely risky and unpredictable, thus in cases like yours where your buttock is otherwise fine, doing nothing is usual the most honest and safest recommendation. Skin folds are folds of skin and are not related to the underlying fat layer.

For this reason manipulating fat distribution as little or poor outcomes on manipulating skin folds.

Skin excision is a much more appropriate procedure but is often unacceptable because of the scar it leaves.

A double fold or banana roll is best left untreated

The fold forms in an upright standing position because in that position the skin from the back of the thigh is pushed into the buttocks creating the fold. It tends to go away with mild hip flexion.

It is a normal skin folds on many people
