Below are photos of my bum now, and the last 2 photos are the desire look I'm hoping to get. The lower part of my bum drops a bit. Is there any type of "tuck" or procedure that would get rid of this? I read somewhere about a thong lift where the incision is inside the lower part of the bum crease? Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks.
Answer: Surgical treatment for early buttock sagging (aka ptosis) Buttock “sagging” is usually a combination of loss of volume or deflation and/or the effect of aging and gravity. So, I personally first treat patients like you by restoring volume to the buttock with a buttock implant. This will create a more desirable smooth and rounded perky buttock profile. If not adding volume with an implant, the buttock will be shortened but may appear more flat with just a buttock lift. A lower buttock tuck is usually then performed at six months following implants. In this sequence, the implants have fully settled into final position so that any remaining loose skin can be most accurately identified and removed with the lower buttock tuck. Please note, because an extremely few number of board certified plastic surgeons specialize in buttock implants, you may have to travel away from your local area to seek consultation with this particular type of surgeon. Glad to help.

Answer: Consider liposuction and skin tightening Thank you for your question and attached photos! This is a very common issue with aging women and there are several solutions. Although it is difficult to say with complete certainty since I have not examined you myself, you could proceed with a “thong lift” would include skin excision in this area. However, I would consider some liposuction to the lower, medial buttocks along with RF skin tightening with Bodytite. This would decrease the excess fat in this small area and also help the skin that has sagged to retract, giving you a more rounded buttock look rather than square without any incisions! Make sure to consult with a board certified plastic surgeon and good luck!

Answer: Thong Lift Thank you for your question. You are definitely an excellent candidate for a Thong Lift. I perform the surgery on a regular basis. There are very few surgeons in the country that do perform the surgery. Best wishes to you.

Answer: BBL candidate Dear Mariemarie83, based on your photos, you look like a good candidate for a BBL. Liposuction of your abdomen, back and flanks should give you more curves and hourglass shape and fat transfer to buttocks should give you more projection. I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon because only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Buttocks tuck The procedure you mentioned is best described by Dr. Mendieta. He calls the procedure the Miami thing left. He has a YouTube video that explains it well. Finding a surgeon who has done this procedures successfully in the past will require pounding the pavement a bit. Simply adding volume will not correct the problem. My best suggestion is start interviewing plastic surgeons until you find someone who seems to understand the concept and have proven results by showing you an impressive collection of before and after pictures. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
