I wanted high volume Lipo and tuck but would it be better to just do lipo multiple times instead then tuck? I'm 5"6' 260lb lost weight from 300 and my tummy hangs. I want that gone most of all and also some back sculpting. A lot of that weight is also in my chest as I'm a size 40 j in breasts as well that I plan to reduce eventually as well

Answer: Liposuction Candidate--VASER HI DEF 4D Liposculpture, ThermiRF, fat grafting, tummy tuck You need to lose weight first before undergoing any cosmetic procedure to get the best outcome. For best results, it is recommended to be at your ideal or stable weight before getting a sculpting liposuction procedure. Liposuction is not a weight loss procedure, rather it is for sculpting and defining and removing problem areas that cannot be removed with weight loss and diet / exercise alone. With skin laxity, a tummy tuck or lifting procedure could be performed at the same time. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a bariatric doctor or dietitian. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Liposuction or tummy tuck Dear badskinfrownyface,it is hard to tell without an examination. Liposuction gets rid of excess fat. Liposuction alone can make your skin more lax and likely make the appearance less aesthetically pleasing. A full tummy tuck address all of the skin laxity and abdominal wall laxity. It repositions your umbilicus as well. I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, Am. Society of Plastic Surgery
