I wanted high volume Lipo and tuck but would it be better to just do lipo multiple times instead then tuck? I'm 5"6' 260lb lost weight from 300 and my tummy hangs. I want that gone most of all and also some back sculpting. A lot of that weight is also in my chest as I'm a size 40 j in breasts as well that I plan to reduce eventually as well
Answer: Liposuction alone or with tummy tuck? Thank you for your question. While you can liposuction several areas at once there is a limit to how much fat can be removed safely. Risks from liposuction increase significantly when over 5 liters of fat are suctioned out. We usually stay below this limit for patient safety. We’ve found that we’re able to achieve dramatic improvements for our patients with 2 to 4 liters of liposuction, depending on their needs. If you have high amounts of fat to be removed then multiple sessions will be the best option. If you have excess skin in your abdomen, then a tummy tuck will need to be done as well to address the excess skin and give it a firmer and smoother appearance. You definitely have to choose your surgeon correctly and make sure that he/she has the training and experience to meet your goals with absolute safety. Don’t settle for less than a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon with specialized expertise in this procedure.

Answer: Stomach hangs If you have too much excess skin, a tummy tuck after liposuction may be the best choice. Also, you might consider a breast reduction.

Answer: Safe and Effective Lipo I definitely recommend multiple sessions to fully sculpt away fat in large very full areas. In these obese situations, I typically start with the front of the abdomen and then during a second session sculpting the flanks and love handles, and then a third session to sculpt the bra rolls. Attached before and after photos are two sessions of liposculpting. We can do an email consult to see if this is the correct option for you. Instagram @justinyovinomd

Answer: Liposuction Candidate--VASER HI DEF 4D Liposculpture, ThermiRF, fat grafting, tummy tuck You need to lose weight first before undergoing any cosmetic procedure to get the best outcome. For best results, it is recommended to be at your ideal or stable weight before getting a sculpting liposuction procedure. Liposuction is not a weight loss procedure, rather it is for sculpting and defining and removing problem areas that cannot be removed with weight loss and diet / exercise alone. With skin laxity, a tummy tuck or lifting procedure could be performed at the same time. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a bariatric doctor or dietitian. Best, Dr. Emer
