These scars can be improved with a combination of revision with lasers, Aerolase, microneedling/prp, skin lightening, peels, and skin care. Sun protection is essential. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a scarring expert. Best, Dr. Emer

It is impossible to say these scars will completely disappear with revision. That being said, it is defiantly worth a try, because they won't get worse. Be sure to protect them from the sun during the healing process, as this can cause dark scars. Also discuss with your PS skin lightening creams, such as hydroquinone. Best of luck!BH

An alternative to scar revision would be treatment with microneedling and PRP which is very effective in improving these types of scars.

Thanks for the question, from time to time people dont get the best scars for a number of reasons and a scar revision typically helps reduce the scar burden and make patients feel better so I think you should stick to your docs plan!
