Liposuction without fat transfer?

Liposuction is an excellent procedure for body contouring.  The fat that is removed does not have to be transferred to the buttocks unless you want your buttocks larger. Obtain a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon who will discuss the various types of liposuction and suggest which type is best for you.

Yes, it's possible to get liposuction without fat transfer. For best results, I recommend a hi definition procedure like VASER liposuction. Before the rise of the BBL, liposuction was routinely performed without fat transfer. However, large volume liposuction was not a good idea for contouring then and is not a good idea for fat harvest now. Think of liposuction as a sculptor's tool. It is designed for shaping and fine tuning. The optimal patient has one or more areas that have been resistant to diet and exercise. They are healthy and have achieved a healthy, stable weight (preferably with a BMI < 30).With regards to your specific question, the simple answer is "yes." However, in reality it is more complicated than that. The legal liposuction limits are generally 5 liters (lipoaspirate/performed in an office setting). However, it is important to remember that different goals yield different results. A patient undergoing liposuction for fat transfer has the primary goal of maximizing fat yield for transplant. In contrast, a patient undergoing liposuction for contouring is primarily seeking an improved contour. Aggresive or over-suctioning an area can lead to irregularities and skin laxity. Thus the two procedures, while similar, differ in the manner in which they are performed.As always, discuss your concerns with a board certified plastic surgeon (ABPS).

Thank you for your question.  Liposuction of your abdomen, waist and back will give you a lean appearance and accentuate the hour glass figure. While you can liposuction several areas at once there is a limit to how much fat can be removed safely. Risks from liposuction increase significantly when over 5 liters of fat are suctioned out. We usually stay below this limit for patient safety. We’ve found that we’re able to achieve dramatic improvements for our patients with 2 to 4 liters of liposuction, depending on their needs.

YES YES YES is the short answer, I would say 99% of all liposuction cases does not have fat transfer and is thus more predictable! 

Fat transfer is an option for a patient. A patient who chooses to have liposuction alone generally can have even more substantial removal of fat than when a combination procedure is performed. Consult in person with an experienced and expert board certified plastic surgeon to understand your options.

If you don't want to transfer the fat to your buttocks, liposuction it self is the option, it allows your plastic surgeon to transform your entire shape. You improve your waist, your back and your abdomen. I recommend you to make an appointment with a board plastic surgeon for a good evaluation and to talk about your goals.

That is a perfect idea/plan. Liposuction will enhance the waist and make the butt appear larger without the grafts and additional down time. Next step is a formal consultation with a plastic surgeon. Best wishes.
