Answer: Arm lift scars Scars from brachioplasty are notoriously difficult to manage and can be quite visible. Until recently, many just accepted that bad scarring was part of the operation. However, more recent approaches allow for substantially better and less visible scars. Your scars are still somewhat immature. There are many options available for you right now. These include laser therapy, topical scar appointments, the embrace scar management system, among others. I would certainly discuss your situation with your plastic surgeon and see what options would work best for you. I wish you the best!

Answer: Arm lift (brachioplasty) incision scars Scars are noticeable because they 1) are a different color (redder or darker) than the surrounding skin, 2) have a texture change such as roughness or bumpiness or 3) are raised or depressed so that they cast shadows making them more visible. Scars generally get better after a year, but, if they persist, can be improved by targeting these qualities. There are numerous non-surgical techniques which should be approached first and include lasers which may help the redness and surface irregularities. Scar revision is usually a last resort after all other options are exhausted. Scar management is something that you should discuss with your aesthetic surgeon and good luck with your brachioplasty as it continues to remodel.
