Is it common for most plastic surgeons to have a back up set of implants? What would happen if one of the implants was to get accidentally contaminated or worse? Would the surgeon have another set so the surgery would be completed in case there was some type of accident? I am going in for replacement soon just want to have idea of what would happen or is this just so rare no need for backup plan?

Answer: Many surgeons do keep a backup Hello there, Its incredibly rare that implant will get damaged or contaminated. But many surgeon do practice keep an additional set of implants on the day of surgery. Anyway dont worry for miniscule chance of adversities. If you are very much concerned, discuss the same with your board certified plastic surgeon. Hope this helps. Thank you for the query here.

Answer: Breast implants Dear RRRRRRRRRRRRR, most plastic surgeons have a stock of different implants in case they need to use more implants than planned. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations.
