I'm 34 female with dense breast that was diagnosed with a few lumps in 1 my breast. I had 2 biopsy that came out benign as fibroadenoma. I want to get implants but im not sure if I can with lumps of 3cm, 2cm,1cm, 0.5cm they are different sizes. If I remove them will it cause a disfigure to my breast? If I get breat implants will it cause discomfort? I have a consultation in 4 months not sure if they will remove them or ignore them.
Answer: Can I get breast implants with fibroadenoma or should I have them removed? Hello @Luminous944355 thank you for your question. Without a proper assessment, knowing where the lumps are, if they are adhere to an organ it's difficult to give an expert opinion. The best course of action is to consult one or several board certified plastic surgeon for more information. Best wishes! Alan Gonzalez MD FACS

Answer: Remove them only if they are painful Hello there, Fibroadenoma is harmless and can be left alone. Only if you have symptoms like pain in breast, then you need to remove them. Same thought goes with fibroadenoma and implants. Only if they are painful, better to remove them. Else it will be difficult to know if any symptoms is from fibroadenoma or the implant. Fibroadenoma can be removed by a periareolar cut, so the scar wont be obviously visible. Small fibroadenoma doesnt disfigure breast. And it is possible also to club both surgeries because implant placement also can be done through same cut. Depends on the plastic surgeons preference. Do visit a board certified plastic surgeon for detailed and examination and you will be given the appropriate treatment based on your requirements. Hope this helps. Thank you for your query here.

Answer: Implants Your surgeon may want at least a needle biopsy of each to be sure all are benign before proceeding with an augmentation. We do not want to ignore cancer.

Answer: BA with fibroadenoma Dear Luminous944355, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations.
