What needs to be done in order to ensure that the implant sits at the apex of the breast - at or slightly above armpit level? Most of the pictures I see have the top of the implant below armpit level, which I 100% do not want. How do I make sure the top of the implants are placed at or above the armpit level (like wearing a push up bra effect, without a push up bra there)? Is there a term for it that I can use when searching for a doctor that can give this result?
Answer: Breast Implants - superior placement I think implant inferior displacement is the term that I would use to say I want to keep the implant high. Since your implants would likely be placed under the muscle, I would recommend an internal mesh from Galatea to minimize the expected "settling" that happens when the muscle pushes the implant lower over time. Best Wishes!!

Answer: Implants Implants are placed behind the breast, and may also be placed behind the muscle for better coverage and more upper breast fullness. Any other position is not natural and will not look good.

Answer: Mini lift with small implants The technique I recommend is a mini lift. Using a circumareola incision, your breast tissue is reshaped, elevated higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. At the same time, small implants can be placed totally submuscular. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Implant size Dear magicskymagic, breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small. You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals. Answer: Implant placement Placing the implants under the muscle allows for the takeoff (the way the natural line form your collar bone to the nipple line) to be a bit higher, but more natural. Placing the breasts on top of the muscle makes them more round and 'implant' looking. Depending on the size you desire, (the larger the easier to get upper pole fullness) as well as the shape you desire (higher profile implants give more upper pole fullness-which is what you desire) will govern which implant and the placement.
