Subpectoral to subglandular implant change

In my experience, over the muscle or subglandular is a good option in body builders and patients with issue submuscular.

History of repeat capsule contracture would be reduced with biological mesh over the implants above the muscle.

Subglandular gives a more natural look and avoids any muscle animation deformities. Same size May look slightly larger and 25cc not significant difference, would recommend same size.

Further exam and discussion with your/a plastic surgeon is recommended to best discuss options, expectations, etc.

I almost always place implants submuscular. It lowers the rate of capsular contracture significantly. In addition, it looks much more natural because the muscle provides covering over the implant so its not as round on the top. I've also noticed the implants drop less over time when they are protected under the muscle.

Do not change to over the muscle, this will only increase your risk for CC, as well as for rippling and tissue stretch. So many women who are very active have their implants under the muscle without a problem. Having had CC twice makes me wonder how the surgeon (s) performed corrective surgery; that has more to do with your bad luck than implant placement.

In general, Yes they will look larger being under the gland. Also, the surgeon will be able to develop a new pocket for the implant which can change the shape and look as well. Consider a change in your implant profile as there will be less coverage above the muscle.

With having capsules before, I would suggest going a little smaller. Also, there won't be as much support for these implants since they will be in front of the muscle.

I frequently recommend placing implants subglandular in patients who are active and do a lot of weight training. I find it looks very natural and typically doesn't look larger being placed subglandular. If you feel the current ones are slightly too big, I'd go with the 240 cc ones.

The difference between the two implants you mentioned is about 10%.
The perceived difference in size of placing the implant sub glandular is going to be negligible.
Your situation is tricky and without seeing pictures or having context to everything that’s happened it’s difficult to give you any valuable input.
