I had a breast augmentation revision last year to expand my pocket to accommodate larger implants. One side looks very square and the other is round. Is it possible to undergo another revision to close off the top/ superior part of the pocket so that it takes a more circular shape? Photo attached
Answer: Pocket Yes, it can be closed some and even dressings and tape can be used to help minimize the pocket. You will need not to push your implants up while healing. I do agree with going smaller so they will look more natural.

Answer: Revision surgery Dear thatgirl225, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what is wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice. Answer: Smaller implants It would be very difficult to do this and the sutures would probably end up puckering the skin. You are better off going with smaller implants. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Yes Hi there, Yes it is possible to improve the shape of the square breast. It would involve internal capsule work, closing some areas down, while opening up other areas. This allows the implant to take a more round shape which will then translate out to your skin. Seek multiple consultations All the best

Answer: Understanding breast augmentation outcome Breast augmentation outcomes are based on three variables. The first is the patient’s candidacy for the procedure. The second is the choice of implants in regards to size shape and type. The third is the surgeons ability to place the implant in the correct and atomic location. In your case, even though we have limited information, it appears that implant selection is the number one reason why you’re having problems with the outcome. Your implants are much much bigger than the natural diameter of your breast and this is going to lead to secondary issues, complications, and need for revision surgery. You will not have a quality outcome with the size implants you currently have. Best, Mats Hagstrom, MD.
