I believe this is a quite stable and adequate result. High profile implants have a narrow base width for the amount of projection. Downsizing in total volume may help but then further pocket adjustments must be made. I would wait until you are at least 1 full year from the surgery to evaluate the outcome and consider any other surgery.
Your single photo does not provide complete information, but it does suggest that you have had a good aesthetic outcome from your surgery. An incomplete answer to your question is that a smaller implant at the same volume will have a lesser diameter. Downsizing the profile with the same volume will have the opposite effect, i.e. a wider diameter. It appears that a return visit to your surgeon is indicated. He or she can best review option with you.
Width of implants should go by your measurements for best fit.Yours appear to have a nice result. If you feel they are too wide, smaller volume may help but you will lose some upper fullness, especially if they are gels.Going down from high to moderate profile usually gives a wider implant for the same volume so that would make your issue worse.Close follow up with your plastic surgeon is recommended to best discuss your concerns and options.
Dear Bells1234555,I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what is wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Hi there,I would not recommend going down in the profile (to moderate or low) as these implants are wider with less projection. You have a very nice result from what I can see. If you want less side breast and to be more narrow I would recommend two options:1- Downsize and stay in the high profile, when you go down the implant will be more narrow and give you the look you want2-Change to Ultra high profile, this implant profile gives you the most narrow base and the best projection for the size. You can also ask the MD to close down the lateral capsules and open your pocket medially to give you tighter cleavage All the best
From your photograph, your breasts are wider than your chest wall. Your implants will descend inferiorly and laterally over time. You need smaller implants.Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.
I would suggest going with something smaller to look more natural and decrease your risk of bottoming out from the weight.
Dear roxi329, you can combine smaller implants and breast lift in order to achieve good results. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations. Daniel Barrett,...
You probably tore part of your capsule and now the implant can shift a little more. It may not be a problem at all, but I would suggest going back to your doctor and being checked.
Considering the asymmetry you've shown in your preoperative photos, you have come a long ways following your first operation. In complex cases like this it is not unusual to require a revision. Many options may be available, but to select the best one would require an examination of your breasts...
