What procedures do I need to remove freckle-like spots on my lips? (photos)

I have these tiny black spots on my lips. What procedure do I need to remove them? What is it and what caused it? Only these 2 years have I been noticing these black spots.

It is impossible to tell from the photo if these are sun spots or the nature of the lesion.  Please consult a board certified dermatologist for evaluation of these pigmented spots.  If they are sun spots then they can be removed with a laser.  If they are moles it may be more complicated.  Best, Dr. Green
