Harsh/Angry looking eye area, what can I do to make them softer? (photo)

I can't quite put my finger as to what it is, but I have always felt like my eye area seems very harsh and unattractive (top picture) and was wondering what could be done to make it look softer/more attractive (ie. like the pictures below)? Any suggestions would be much appreciated Thank You

Yes, botox can help to soften the lines and lift a little.  Be sure you are seeing an experienced injector to ensure you do not get more of a feminine brow shape.  Best of luck to you.

Thank you for your question!  Your concern is one I hear quite often from my patients.  The area between the eyes (also called the glabella) consists of the skin, which overlies several facial muscles.  These muscles can be treated with Botox (or other neuromodulators such as Dysport or Xeomin), which will help to relax and soften this area.  As the muscles in the glabella relax this can create a slight lift of the brow and reduce a 'harsh or angry' appearance.  Botox is a protein which works by relaxing the muscle fibers, and will last anywhere from 3-4 months.  I would consult with a board certified injector, for a full evaluation and to discuss your concerns and goals. I hope that this helps, -David Gilpin

Thank you for your question. Botox can certainly address the wrinkling and advanced signs of aging in the eye area. Another option would be a brow lift which can correct forehead lines, giving a refreshed look to the entire face. I suggest that you move forward and consult with a board certified facial plastic surgeon.

You can try Botox first if it will make you feel more comfortable. You need a very conservative brow lift to raise your Emidio eyebrows without feminizing your face. This should be done through an Irregular Trichophytic Incision that we developed. See a very experienced surgeon for this.

Yes in social media you might have also seen this pinch described as RBF.  It is there because at the brow are two opposing muscle groups that meet at the brow to make the pinch: the brow lifters and the brow depressors.  The MIcrodroplet Lift is a cosmetic botulinum toxin treatment that specifically treats the brow depressors softening the brow pinch and creating natural lift at the eyebrow.  The forehead lines diminish and yet there is not forehead paralysis.

I would start with Botox in the glabellar area. I think that the medial brows are low so I would also inject the depressor supracilii muscles. Also, filler in the tear trough and upper cheek would also probably help.
