Thank you for your question regarding whether it is possible to have an arm lift combined with a hip and thigh liposuction. In my opinion, it is possible to have an arm lift, brachioplasty, arm reduction, at the same time as hip and thigh liposuction. You may need some assistance for the first several days to help you around the house. After approximately 2 to 3 days, you should be able to be on your own. Combining lower extremity liposuction with an arm lift is acceptable for most of my patients. However, I rarely if ever, suggest undergoing an arm lift, brachioplasty, arm reduction, at the same time as undergoing a thigh lift. The post-operative course is too difficult for patients. Ambulation and putting garments on and pulling them off is very difficult if you have a combined arm and thigh lift. I hope that I have answered your questions regarding whether it is possible to have an arm lift and thigh and hip liposuction at the same time. If you have any more questions regarding an arm lift, brachioplasty, arm reduction, thigh liposuction, hip liposuction, or plastic surgery in general, please contact my office. Hello, It is not uncommon to combine more than one cosmetic surgery procedure, such as arm lift plus liposuction on another part of the body. You would need to have an in-person consultation with a plastic surgeon to determine your goals, exactly what needs to be done and time involved, plus your overall health. All of these factors are important in determining whether any combined cosmetic procedures can safely be performed at the same time.
As long as you have a caregiver to assist you the first few days following your surgery, it is no problem to have an arm lift in conjunction with lipo to hips/thighs. Your plastic surgeon will recommend compression garments to provide comfort and support and aid in the healing process, but you will want to have assistance with getting up and down.
Provided you are a good candidate and medically cleared, combining arm lift with hip and thigh liposuction should be easy.An exam and consultation with a plastic surgeon is recommended to confirm this as well as discuss your options and expectations.
Dear myjourney2019,I understand your concern. It is best however that you consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to determine whether you can have several aesthetic surgeries in one session, as this would depend on various factors including but not limited to your general health condition, the type of anesthesia that will be used, and the type of surgeries that will be performed among others.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
