I have severe constipation which causes pain and nausea...I can only have a BM after taking a combination of softeners, magnesium, Aloe and drink smooth move tea.. Typically I start by taking one, the next day add one of the other so on and so on..by about 5th day I will have movement about every half hour. is it possible my intestine got kinked, twisted during surgery? Or could it be from the antibiotics killing all good bacteria and affects on microbiom? I’ve been taking probiotics.
Answer: Tummy tucks do not cause constipation so you should be checked by your primary care physician and possibly a gastroenterologist as it sounds like you're doing everything you can to minimize your symptoms.

Answer: Tummy tuck Hi darling, thank you for your question. So sorry for what you've been through thus far, however this issue is probably not a consequence of the surgery as it is pretty hard to actually affect that area during the procedure. The part that is worked during the surgery is the abdominal wall where these issues are not held. Usually constipations are side effects of certain medications used during and after the operation but 19 months are more than enough for these effects to be over. I suggest consulting your PS for further assessment or a specialist of this issue to get more information.Hope this helps,Dr. Jimenez Toribio Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon.
