Can you get otoplasty on one ear and if so how much would it cost?

It is possible to do this on only one ear and try to match it with the other. My fee is around $2500 for one ear.

Asymmetric ears is not only common, it is the norm .. it is just a question of degree. Whether or not 1 or both ears warrant treatment is ultimately determined during the consultation and physical exam.  It is possible to perform a one sided otoplasty to match the opposite side. The ears are never symmetrical, so it's important to note that the opposite side will not need surgery. An otoplasty procedure can be performed under local anesthesia, so an anesthesia charge is not required. A one sided otoplasty should be a about half as much as full otoplasty.

Hello Madysinnbutler,It is completely normal to only have otoplasty on one ear if that is the only one of concern.  As for the cost, it will vary significantly based on your location.  I would recommend you call several facial plastic surgeons and plastic surgeons in your area to get a rough estimate.  I hope this helps and good luck. 

It is certainly possible to correct one ear only. While you can use the other ear as a guide, remember that no 2 ears are identical, and the goal is improved symmetry and degree of protrusion, in general. Discuss this with your surgeon in consultation.

You certainly can. The other ear can be used as a template. This can be done under local anesthesia as a day case where you can be discharged home.
