Can you get otoplasty on one ear and if so how much would it cost?

uneven ears and was wondering what would be the average cost? Don't mind the price just trying to see how much it would go to.

cost for otoplasty starts at $2800 + MD Anesthesia Related Costs (if 
necessary). More expensive cities such as New York or Los Angeles or

Asymmetric ears is not only common, it is the norm .. it is just a question of degree. Whether or not 1 or both ears warrant treatment is ultimately determined during the consultation and physical exam. The cost of Otoplasty will vary by surgeon, location, and type of anesthesia, but typically runs between $3500-5500. I hope this helps.

It is possible to perform a one sided otoplasty to match the opposite side. The ears are never symmetrical, so it's important to note that the opposite side will not need surgery. An otoplasty procedure can be performed under local anesthesia, so an anesthesia charge is not required. A one sided otoplasty should be a about half as much as full otoplasty.

Hello Madysinnbutler,It is completely normal to only have otoplasty on one ear if that is the only one of concern.  As for the cost, it will vary significantly based on your location.  I would recommend you call several facial plastic surgeons and plastic surgeons in your area to get a rough estimate.  I hope this helps and good luck.

It is certainly possible to correct one ear only. While you can use the other ear as a guide, remember that no 2 ears are identical, and the goal is improved symmetry and degree of protrusion, in general. Discuss this with your surgeon in consultation.
