FUE and contact sports?

Question

It's been about 6 weeks since I've had my FUE hair transplant done. My doctor told me after 1 month I can resume kickboxing, wrestling, and MMA. I understand that after 10 days your grafts are in place and there's almost no way you can ruin them. Now I compete in these sports so I will be taking shots to the head from professionals, am I okay to go ahead and start training now that I'm 6 weeks post op?

Dear gimmemyhairbackThanks for the question. After 2 month your scalp is totally healed and yes you can play contact sports and also do other sport activities. I wish you all the best.

Follow your doctors advice and use common sense.  Taking "shots to your head" after surgery does not seem wise.

I tell my patients they can return to sports two weeks after hair transplant. 4 weeks if it is contact sports. We've had a  bunch of Jiu Jitsu practitioners here and they've had no problems.

you can start contact sport once you are completely healed. Most people can return to contact sport after three weeks. However if you have concerns it is a good idea to follow up with your doctor.

You should be completely normal by now. Full contact sports, with the approval of your doctor, should be ok
