Very good question. I often use Vbeam for this purpose with very good results. The device is safe for Asian skin tones. The Vbeam laser targets the blood inside the vein, coagulating the vessel so that it collapses and is reabsorbed by the body. Make sure the dermatologist you are working with is both board certified and experienced in working with the Vbeam. With a qualified doctor and the right device for your needs and skin tone, you should enjoy a positive result.
The best treatments for capillary issues are vascular lasers such as pulsed dye laser, Excel V, Aerolase, Venus Versa IPL, Laser Genesis or Yellow laser. The settings are determined on a per case basis, so it is best to consult with an expert to determine what will work best for you. We often combine vascular lasers with non-ablative fractional lasers such as Clear + Brilliant or Venus Viva for better results. I would suggest seeing a cosmetic dermatologist for a formal evaluation. Best, Dr. Emer.
Thank you for your question. The treatment for broken capillaries on the face can be done effectively with VBeam or Excel V. These lasers can help clear the vessels but multiple treatments are required and a maintenance schedule will need to follow. Keep in mind VBeam can cause deep brushing which will clear after 1-2 weeks but the vessel will resolve. Excel V can cause some puffiness immediately after treatment and little to no bruising can occur, but you will get immediate satisfaction post treatment. Discuss with your specialist the risks and side effects of each treatment such as hyperpigmentation as it is very common occurrence when treating ethnic complexion with a laser, but it can be controlled and treated if it does occur. Remember after vessels clear you will need to treat again every couple of months to maintain.I hope this helps.Regards,Sheetal Sapra, MD, FRCPC

Vbeam tends to be the gold standard when it comes to treating anything "red/pink" or blood related on the skin. When the lesion tends to be a little more stubborn it sometimes needs to be treated with another device- I like to use a focal tip IPL with a vascular filter. Lumenis M22- is a great...
Very good question. Vbeam is an excellent choice for treating red lesions on the skin. The device targets the lesion to remove it without damaging surrounding skin and tissue. The procedure should also not impact your tattoo. That said, there are other lasers that might also be a good option for...
