Based purely upon your photos, I am not convinced your surgeon is being truthful with you. It appears as though your implants are on top of the muscle (aka subcutaneous) hence easily flip and are very visible. If this is indeed the case, they can be readily fixed by removing them from the subcutaneous plane and putting them properly into the intra-muscular tissue plan. A more anatomical shaped implant, instead of round, will also help with creating a more realistic buttock contour. You may want to strongly consider having a different surgeon perform this revision surgery, one that is a reputable specialist known for placing the implants into the intra-muscular tissue plane. It may cost you more money but it will at least be done properly and save you more time, money, and aggravation in the long run. Glad to help.

you should definitely see a plastic surgeon who specializes in buttock implants to discuss a revision of your current implants. The pocket can be revised so that its tighter and the implant is less likely to flip. Please be sure to choose a board certified plastic surgeon who specializes in this procedure and is well know for their work in this field.

While your surgeon may have thought the implant pocket was intramuscular, or the intramuscular pocket was too thin and it eroded out of it, either way it is in the subfascial location now. The implants need to be placed into the true intramuscular pocket to solve this abnormal implant movement.

It’s hard for me to believe you’re right implant is intramuscular.

It looks like it’s superficial to your gluteus muscle.

Do this with in person consultations.

During the consultation bring your before and after pictures and a copy of your operative report. If you don’t have them ask your surgeon to forward complete copies of your medical records.
