I want to know if I would still be a candidate for butt implants if I had silicone injected in the past. It is such a small amount that there is barely a noticeable change I'm too skinny for BBL and implants are my only option. I just want to know can I get the implants even tho I had silicone because I don’t really want to remove it
Answer: Butt implants after silicone injections? Based purely upon your history and photos, buttock implants are indeed likely still possible. Even patients whom have had large volume silicone liquid injections and complications have still been able to successfully undergo buttock implants surgery. Glad to be of help.

Answer: Can I get butt implants even tho I have had a very small amount of silicone injected years ago? (photo) I have and continue to perform an enormous number of silicone and biopolymer removals for patients from all over the globe. Patients frequently have the foreign material injected to improve buttock and hip proportions, but silicone, PMMA, and hydrogel can be and have been injected almost anywhere. The procedure only removes the foreign material and not your own tissues. This reduces the denting and deformity. After you have healed from the PMMA removal, you would have to be evaluated for butt implants.

Answer: Butt implants Dear Tasha, Thanks for posting your picture. I am glad to read that you did not have any complication from the silicone injection to your butt. Under these circumstances there is no reason for you to to get silicone butt implants. I would just caution you from getting implants that are too big. Based on your picture I would recommend to you 430 cc implants or less. Not all results are the same , because there are different implants, different techniques and different surgeons' experience. So, do your due diligence and choose your surgeon carefully. Always, consult with experienced board certified plastic surgeons who operate in accredited surgery center for your safety. Most importantly, check the before and after pictures in the photo gallery, to make sure that they are numerous, consistent and attractive with nice 'S' curve, nice projection, round hips, single low intergluteal incision and natural look. Best of luck, Dr Widder

Answer: Buttock implants You can still get buttock implants as long as there isnt any inflammation for the injected silicone. You must choose a surgeon with experience working with injected silicone. This is tricky when performing a buttock implant in the same area and must be done by a seasoned professional. Please be sure to choose a board certified plastic surgeon who specializes in this procedure and is well know for it.

Answer: Implants after previous silicone injections If you haven’t had any problems from your previous silicone injections that you should count your blessings and leave good enough alone. I would be hesitant and probably not willing to perform in the BBL and certainly would not recommend implants and someone who has silicon previously injected. Considering the failure rate of gluteal implants in that implant failure would have a fairly high chance of contaminating the silicon I would recommend you give up this option and that move in that direction. The worst case scenario could be pretty devastating. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
