Anyone know of any surgeons in the Dominican Republic only that will perform TT, Lip, BBL or Mommy Makeover on patient with a bit more weight on and a higher BMI. I am 5'5" and weight 220 pounds. I am however in great health, no health problems.
Answer: Board Certified Surgeons in the Dominican Republic that will take a patient with a bit more weight? I do not advocate having your Cosmetic Surgery anywhere but in the USA. Furthermore, it would be in your best interests to loose up to 50lbs first. This would potentially maximize your outcome and reduce post-operative risks. Occasionally, we will perform high BMI patients's surgeries but only after thoroughly pre-op consultation and clearance from appropriate Specialist and overnight stay for observation. It can be done, but not without significant costs and attention to all elements of the plan.

Answer: Board Certified Surgeons in the Dominican Republic that will take a patient with a bit more weight? I would not try to find someone who may be able to perform a surgery against recommendations of other plastic surgeons.

Answer: Safety Your safety is the priority in any surgery. Based on this information I strongly encourage you to reconsider traveling abroad for surgery. There are many qualified board certified plastic surgeons in your area who will be able to minimize your risk during surgery as well as be close by if any complications should arise after surgery. Also, when considering elective plastic surgery it is recommended that you have a BMI of 30 or under. This is to minimize your risk of complications.

Answer: Lose Weight First I would never recommend a patient have Mommy Makeover surgery outside of their country unless they intend to stay at least 6 weeks after surgery. Never would I recommend an overweight patient have this surgery. It is dangerous to have elective surgery when you are overweight. Reconsider doing this until you are at your ideal body weight. It's not worth the risk.
